Monse Partners With Pet Rescue Orgs, Makes World’s Chicest Dog Sweaters

by Charles Manning

MONSE debuted their Pre-Fall 2019 collection today with a lookbook featuring some adorable canine models posing alongside the likes of Lameka Fox, Cat Mc Neil, and McKenna Hellam, and wearing their very own MONSE dog sweaters, inspired by the collection.

The Pre-Fall collection and photo shoot are part of a larger collaboration between MONSE and six pet rescue organizations in the greater New York City area — Animal Haven, Best Friends Animal Society, Bideawee, Rescue City, Rescue Dogs Rock, and Social Tees — to promote the fostering and adoption of rescue dogs. The collaboration highlights over 30 dogs from the local organizations, each look featuring a pup in need of a loving home.

“Dogs are family at MONSE, and are often seen running around the office,” said Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. “We knew we wanted our Pre-Fall collection to benefit this cause, so this was the perfect opportunity to highlight Pluto, who is a loveable dog just like many of the ones featured in our campaign.”

A selection of styles from the collection for dogs and humans — including an impossibly chic leash and collar — are available for immediate sale on, with 100% of gross proceeds (excluding sales tax) to be distributed equally among each of the six participating charities. MONSE is also making a separate additional donation to each of the charities including contributions on behalf of the models, who were happy to volunteer their time and talent for the project.

The Pre-Fall 2019 collection also features a MONSE x Disney product collaboration, which will launch in May 2019. The Disney capsule features Mickey Mouse’s best friend, Pluto, on key pieces like silk twill cardigans, cotton shirting, and limited edition denim styles.

MONSE created an adorable video to highlight the Disney collaboration. Directed by Fabian Constant, the playful and whimsical short film features MONSE muse Dilone and the brand’s own office dog, Louise. Check it out at the top of this post and consider adopting or fostering one of these lovely and chic little furballs yourself.
