Manhattan to Malibu! Beverly Hills to Bora Bora! Michael Kors has always known how to dress the jet-set, but this season he was particularly inspired. Tie dye? Flip flops? Who would have thought? Carolyn Murphy opened the show in a lust worthy pink tie dye sweatshirt dress, but the trick is that it was made from cashmere and lined in cotton. The flip-flops were made of croc…flippantly luxurious. This was casual luxury for the one percent and it was wonderfully chic.
Take Mica Arganaraz in an effortlessly stunning black sequined cocktail skirt, a blazer and a plunging white chiffon blouse. Kors called it “catching the breeze with chiffon” in his show notes. And an oversized shirt blouse was tied at the waist and paired with a floor-length sequined gala skirt. And if you’re jetting back and forth, say between Manhattan and the East End, then a sharp camel colored double breasted suit will do the trick for a case of the Mondays. Wherever Kors is going, we want to follow.
