From the pages of The Daily Summer! SLT’s director of instructor development, Lanae Rhodes, chats about the exercise hautespot’s Hamptons presence, plus her summer eating and workout habits!
What’s different about SLT in the Hamptons vs. NYC?
Finding the right balance: Many people out East will be trying SLT for the first time, so making it accessible for new clients while keeping it challenging enough for our regular clients.
Do your eating and workout habits change in the summer?
When the weather gets warm, I walk more. I get off the subway a few stops early or leave enough time to walk the entirety of my trip so I can soak up that sunshine. Also, once it hits 70 degrees, it’s all about smoothies. I probably have one a day during the summer.
What’s your favorite SLT move?
Bungee! It always burns without fail.
What’s your favorite summertime activity?
Going to Yankees games. My family has always been huge baseball fans and our Yankee support goes back generations on my mom’s side.
What’s your go-to summer cocktail?
I love a good jalapeño margarita.
