Borrowed from the boys: Marie Claire has added former GQ editorial associate Jen Ortiz to its staff. Ortiz has spent the past two years at GQ focused on pop culture-centric content in print as well as online. Before her stint at GQ, Ortiz had been published by the likes of VanityFair.com, Paper, New York, and Business Insider. Ortiz attended Yale as an undergrad and received her master’s degree from NYU.
In her new gig at the Hearst glossy, Ortiz will oversee the @Play section plus other feature content. She will report to Marie Claire‘s executive editor, Riza Cruz.
“Jen is a super-smart Marie Claire girl who just gets it,” the glossy’s EIC Anne Fulenwider told The Daily. “I look forward to bringing her perspective to the magazine.”
