Jason Wu Spring 2015

by Daniel Chivu

Jason Wu dished up a subdued, polished vision for Spring, rendered in shades of olive, white, black, and navy. A series of office-apropos pieces in a muted sage and cream jacquard print kicked things off, finished with streamlined clutches and camel sandals. Tailoring was threaded throughout, crisp and elegant without being overly body con, though a high slit or two found its way into the mix. Suede separates abounded, and the dressier looks that closed out the show were simple silhouette-wise but glimmered with all-over beading. Sleek, flippy low ponies and glows skin rounded things out beauty wise. Haute on the heels of Wu’s sale of the majority stake of his business to newly-formed investment firm InterLuxe, things felt decidedly, fittingly mature chez Wu.
