Goop Hires Former Condé Nast-er as Creative Director (WWD)
Is Gwyneth Paltrow stepping down at Goop? Not exactly. But she has just hired Devin Pedzwater as the brand’s new creative director, a role that she previously oversaw. Pedzwater comes from Condé Nast, where he was working on Vanity Fair Italia. He’s also held positions at Sports Illustrated and Condé Nast Traveler. “Even though it’s only a decade old, Goop’s creative identity is akin to a legacy brand: it’s visceral, aspirational and elegant,” he told WWD. “I’m excited to help protect and build upon that as we enter the next phase of the business.”

Harmony Korine, the writer and director behind films like Spring Breakers and Kids, brought his trademark realism when shooting Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2019 lookbook. The 106-page series features models eating snacks and being bombarded with photographers. As for the collection, Alessandro Michele was really into floral prints, stars, and pears this season.
