Dsquared2 designs Team Canada Olympic outfits

Dsquared2’s Dan and Dean Caten are going back to their roots—the Toronto-born twin designers, with retailer Hudson’s Bay, designed Team Canada’s outfit for the opening ceremony for the upcoming 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio, Brazil.

“The opening ceremony represents a moment of tremendous national pride for our athletes,” said Liz Rodbell, president ofHudson’s Bay. “We want them to feel strong and confident as they march into the stadium and we are excited that the Dsquared2-designed look will give them that extra boost of Canadian cool.”

“We are constantly inspired by Canada, so it is an honor to partner with Hudson’s Bay in dressing Team Canada,” said the Catens. “The opening ceremony look is made with our passion for our birth country mixed with the energetic spirit of Dsquared2.”

Hudson’s Bay has been Team Canada’s official outfitter since 2006. Brands that have previously created outfits for the Olympics include Ralph Lauren, Levis, Adidas, Giorgio Armani, and Stella McCartney, to name a few.
