Dior is reportedly planning to show its upcoming Cruise collection in Los Angeles on May 11, 2017 according to WWD. The French maison is the latest brand to decamp for L.A. in a time when celebrity and influencer courting has increasingly become a focus for labels as they vie for more and more social media and event placements. Rebecca Minkoff, Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford, and Rachel Zoe have all announced they’ll show their Fall 2017 collections in the warmer climes of the West Coast.
In the meantime, the industry and the .001 percent that is Dior’s clientele will have their eyes on the house come January when creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri presents her first couture collection for the label.
