(NEW YORK) After four years sans a president, Condé Nast Media Group has promoted chief marketing officer Louis Cona to the title; concurrently, he will serve as the publishing house’s chief revenue officer, according to WWD. The company’s most recent president in its Media Group division was the (in)famous Richard “Mad Dog” Beckman, who recently launched a new production company.
Cona has spent a dozen years chez Condé. Before becoming chief marking officer in 2010, Cona rose the Condé upper management ranks in the company’s Media Group beginning in 2008 as senior VP before becoming executive VP. Prior to joining the Media Group, Cona did a three-year stint as VP and publisher of The New Yorker. The NYU alum’s former gigs include the publisher post at Vanity Fair from 2001 to 2005, as well as associate publisher of InStyle before becoming part of team Condé.
