The Daily and Chloe Gosselin Celebrate Her Spring 2020 Collection

Last night, The Daily Front Row and Chloe Gosselin hosted an intimate dinner at Scarpetta on Madison Avenue to celebrate the designer’s Spring 2020 shoe collection. “The shoes literally just came in,” said Gosselin. “This is the first time even I’m seeing them!”

The fabulously chic collection featured Gosselin signatures like ruched straps and oversized bamboo buckles, glove-soft leather, satin, suede, and a playful grey and white checkered print, all fresh off the plane from Italy where all Gosselin’s shoes are painstakingly made by hand.

The event began with cocktails in Scarpetta’s gorgeous wood-paneled private dining room, which was decorated for the occasion with photos from Gosselin’s Spring 2020 campaign and stunning autumnal floral creations by the brilliant Lutfi Janania Zablah.

Notable guests included Nina Agdal, Charlotte D’Alessio, Christie Ferrari, TK Wonder and Cipriana Quann, Natalie and Dylana Suarez, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Emily Luciano, Jessica Wang, Sophie Sumner, Serena Goh, Faith Lynch, Flaviana Matata, Olivias Jeanette and Caputo, Grace Atwood, Krystal Bick, Leyna Bloom, Jamie Frankel, and Marianne Fonseca, all of whom wore shoes from Gosselin’s Fall 2019 collection, which is hitting stores now.

Following the cocktail hour, guests sat down for a fantastic four-course meal full of Scarpetta favorites, including creamy polenta with fricassee of truffled mushrooms, braised short ribs with vegetable and farro risotto, duck and foie gras ravioli drizzled with a marsala reduction, Scarpetta’s famous homemade spaghetti with tomato and basil, Mediterranian Branzino with snap peas, sunchoke, spring onion, and tarragon, and roasted organic chicken with herbed spätzle, carrots, fava beans, and chicken jus. And for dessert, a quartet of decadent delights including fresh market strawberries with basil granita and cream, and espresso budino with salted caramel, chocolate biscotti, and hazelnut gelato. All in all, a true feat of culinary indulgence.
