ASOS Launches ASOS Supports Talent Initiative

by Sydney Sadick

Online retailer ASOS has announced the launch of its new global initiative ASOS Supports Talent, a program that was designed to find and support up-and-coming cultural influencers at the forefront of art, fashion, music, food, technology, and other categories. The initiative is a part of the company’s ongoing effort to support fresh talent, and for this particular program, the company will provide resources, mentorship, and other opportunities for these individuals to fast-forward their careers and build on their passions. The program will launch with eight members with two from each of the following countries: France, Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom.

“At ASOS, we love working with young talent who inspire and excite our 20-something customers. We are launching ASOS Supports Talent to mentor and support young artists globally and give them the opportunity to be creative in avenues they feel passionate about. We look forward to seeing this project develop and working with more up-and-coming artists on their passion projects over the coming months,” said Rachel Bremer, communications director at ASOS.

The lineup of members includes Elf KidKim Kanert, Elizabeth De La Piedra, Hollie Mcnish, Diane Sagnier, Phillip Basone, Loyle Carner and Lucas Beaufort. De La Piedra and Basone will kick off the initiative by revealing their passion projects at separate events in NYC in late October. De La Piedra is documenting the life of a transgender woman of color living in poverty in Oakland, and Basone is opening his own pop-up restaurant in NYC as an homage to his grandmother. Stay tuned!
