The brand also previewed the Asos Made in Kenya collection, which is available on October 6 and is a collaboration with the SOKO Kenya initiative. The Kenyan clothing manufacturer and workshop provides fair and safe employment and training for some of the country’s poorest communities. SOKO Kenya initiative collaborated with a local primary school and asked children to draw “what they see outside their window.” The Asos design team used these drawings as inspiration for the collection, with giraffes, elephants, and the country’s landscape making it onto jersey sweats, structured short-suits, and sweatshirts with matching track pants.

It’s great to see Kenyan products getting exposure like this in such a positive way and to hear that their production process is along the fairtrade type of lines.
