Angelina Jolie Pitt spends the month of November on the cover of Vogue in a beach shot by Annie Leibovitz. Inside, in a rare, rare move she allowed her six kids with Brad Pitt, Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne Jolie Pitt to be shot by Leibovitz. (Looks like Maddox has his eye on a behind the camera future.) Jolie-Pitt goes into detail about the obvious: The Jolie-Pitt children are racking up the air-miles. “We travel often to Asia, Africa, Europe, where they were born,” she tells Elizabeth Rubin. “The boys know they’re from Southeast Asia, and they have their food and their music and their friends, and they have a pride particular to them. But I want them to be just as interested in the history of their sisters’ countries and Mommy’s country so we don’t start dividing. Instead of taking Z on a special trip, we all go to Africa and we have a great time.” Jolie is on the PR train to promote her pet project, By the Sea, which reunites her on-screen with Brad and hits theaters November 13. The November issue also gives some love to Broadway (yay!) with a piece on Keira Knightley and her theatre debut in Thérèse Raquin, which is currently in previews and opens October 29.
