To mark 10 years in business, Joseph Altuzarra has created a capsule collection full of reissued pieces from his archives as selected by fashionable friends like Jenna Lyons and Evan Rachel Wood.

Titled “The One That Got Away,” the capsule features 15 pieces selected by Carine Roitfeld, Caroline Issa, Shu Pei Qin, and more. “All of the women we invited to collaborate for this project embody the Altuzarra woman,” the designer said. “They are sexy, they are confident, they are strong, and they are powerful. This has been such a special project for me, because it gave me the opportunity to look back at the last 10 years through the eyes of ten of my closest friends and muses.”

In an accompanying video the women give some insight into the looks they chose, as well as their friendships with Altuzarra. Wood selected something that was “sexy without being overt.” Meanwhile Melanie Huynh revealed that Altuzarra sat by her bedside every day while she was pregnant and drew. It’s the relationships between these women and Altuzarra — not to mention their genuine love of his work — that make this collection special.
The One That Got Away will be available this month at Barneys, as well as online at altuzarra.com. Prices range from $395 to $6,950. See all the pieces, below:
