Last night, photographer Mert Alas celebrated his 47th birthday in Mayfair, London and was serenaded by none other than Kate Moss. The legendary model popped out of a cake and channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe to sing a sultry Happy Birthday to the Alas, while guests including Lindsay Lohan, Doutzen Kroes, and Natalia Vodianova looked on. Naturally, Alas posted a portion of her performance on his Instagram account, and wrote in another post: “I mean I literally had Kate Moss come out of my bday cake.”
This black and white video, which he posted later, shows you her emergence from the cake. It’s not a great video, but you get the idea.
This wasn’t Moss’s her first foray into live singing. You may recall her 2006 duet of La Belle et la Bête with former beau Pete Doherty. Those were the days!
