She’s back! Lupita Nyong’o, who we spotted front row at Hugo Boss yesterday, gets her second Vogue cover for their October issue, which hits stands on September 22nd. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot the Kenyan actress who talked to Plum Sykes about her roots and how she feels right at home in the U.S. “I definitely feel there’s a lot of America in me,” she says. “The idea that you can be self-made is very vibrant in America. You can do anything that you want to do. That spirit pushes you on. But it took me leaving Kenya to really appreciate the glory of the place. Ultimately,” she concludes, closing her eyes and smiling for a few seconds, as if she is back in her home country, mango-picking with her grandmother, “I will always be a child of Kenya.” Nyong’o will be everywhere in the next few months with a whopping four projects coming out, including the eagerly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII in December.
