The Met Gala Happened Last Night
Unless you’ve been on some sort of social media fast for the past week, you are probably well aware that last night the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute hosted their annual gala to celebrate the opening of their new show, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Of course, everyone from Rihanna to Princess Beatrice to Blake Lively to Madonna was in attendance, meaning the place had more star power and jaw-dropping couture creations than the last five Oscars combined. Naturally, religious iconography was all over the red carpet, with many celebrities opting to wear designers like Versace and Dolce & Gabbana for the occasion. Stella McCartney Is Taking Her Menswear to Milan (WWD)
Stella McCartney plans to show her men’s spring 2019 and women’s resort 2019 collections during Milan Men’s Fashion Week this June. The dual presentation will take place on the last day of Milan Fashion Week, June 18, from 8 to 11PM.

Madonna Gave a Surprise Performance at the Met Gala (Vogue)
Every year, a different pop star performs at the Met Gala. In 2017 it was Katy Perry, who also happened to be co-hosting the event. In 2016, The Weeknd and Nas performed. In 2015 it was Rihanna. Of course, given the theme of the night, there was really only performer who made any sense: Madonna. Check out snippets of her performance below and let’s all just pray that Vogue finds it in their heart to release a full version soon, because Madge’s performance looks truly epic.

Kirsten Dunst Has Given Birth to First Child (People)
It’s official, Kirsten Dunst is a mom! She welcomed her first child — a boy — with fiancé Jesse Plemons over the weekend. According to sources who spoke with People, mom and baby are both happy and healthy. The birth comes just three months after Dunst confirmed her pregnancy in Rodarte’s fall 2018 look book. Congrats, Kirsten!

Two New Celebrity Couples Made Their Red Carpet Debuts at the Met Gala
Some new celebrity couples made their existence known (or, at least, officially known) last night on the Met Gala red carpet: musician Shawn Mendes and model Hailey Baldwin, and Tech billionaire Elon Musk and Canadian musician Grimes. Musk’s ex, Amber Heard was also in attendance. Awkward!

In other couples news, Kim Kardashian showed up sans Kanye, and 2 Chainz got down on one knee to propose to Kesha Ward. The two have been married since 2013, but whatever! It was a moment.
