With a restaurant upstairs and a discotheque downstairs, Happy Ending, created by partners Teddy Perweiler, Max Levai and Oliver Stumm, is always buzzing with beautiful people. Last Saturday, after a late dinner with film director Jack Bryan and his producer girlfriend Laura DuBois, I bumped into so many chic and cute faces that my head was spinning. And by the way, this spot serves food, by executive chef Jasmine Shimoda, until midnight, so order the Pain Perdu for dessert; it’s a French toast/crème brûlée hybrid and it’s amazing.
So who was spotted? The actor Josh Hartnett was there, sitting in a booth with three buddies and Jason Wu was there, ready to dance in a black T-shirt. The French nightlife impresario and street artist André Saraiva was also present, palling around with Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, and photographer Theo Wenner. Who else? Arden Wohl, Baja East designer John Targon, Interview‘s Miguel Enamorado, blogger Bryanboy, and so many beautiful, willowy girls with teeny T-shirts and quilted Chanel bags that it felt like a photoshoot was about to go down at any moment.
