MR PORTER—truly the best menswear shopping site—cohosted a party with Orlebar Brown, the cult-favorite swimwear line designed in London. Sunset cocktails were served against a blood orange sky at The Crow’s Nest, on Lake Montauk. “This is my first time in Montauk,” British founder Adam Brown admitted. “I’m staying in East Hampton, then New York for a few days, and then back to London. It’s really quite beautiful here. I really must come back.”
Paella was cooked up by two guys from Uruguay that The Crow’s Nest’s owner and hotelier Sean MacPherson discovered while on vacation. MacPherson immediately offered them a summer “paella residency” chez The Crow’s Nest and now they’ve dished up their seafood platters for Ralph Lauren, Jenne Lombardo, Cynthia Rowley, and more. Deliciously chic.
MR PORTER’s gig was guy heavy. Think: photographer Bjorn Iooss, MR PORTER editor Dan Rookwood, Mate Gallery founder and photographer Matt Albiani, Trey Laird, and Cory Paul Martin. And what summer swimwear party doesn’t include a skin show? Before Natalie Joos left the sandy shoreline, a trio of male models took a dip in the lake to show off their Orlebar Brown trunks, amongst other things.
