Johnny Depp is said to appear in Rihanna’s upcoming Savage x Fenty show

IndieWire has confirmed that actor Johnny Depp is appearing in the upcoming fourth edition of Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty fashion shows. Fresh off the defamation trial that gripped the world, Depp is said to be a part of the show (in a segment with other famous faces) while models such as Cara Delevingne, Precious Lee, and Rickey Thompson are confirmed to walk the runway. The decision has attracted criticism online, with Rihanna fans questioning her decision to cast Depp in the wake of his highly-publicized case against ex-wife Amber Heard which was dogged in domestic abuse allegations. (ICYMI: the court did rule in Depp’s favor.) On social media sites like Twitter, users also questioned why Rihanna, who suffered a violent attack at the hands of her then-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009, would veer down this controversial route.

Is Kering about to buy Tom Ford?

Sources say that luxury behemoth Kering is eying up Tom Ford. The Wall Street Journal reports that Kering has been competing with rivals including Estée Lauder to purchase the eponymous designer’s fashion and beauty brand, and is now the front runner. Back in August, the outlet wrote that Estée Lauder was in talks to acquire Tom Ford for a deal it valued at $3 billion. Meanwhile, Kering, whose stable of top performers includes multi-billion dollar babies Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga has a market value of nearly €/$60 billion. Watch this space!
