(NEW YORK) In addition to celebrating the big 4-0 with a Playboy cover, Kate Moss will ring in the milestone birthday by releasing a collection of 40 ready-to-wear pieces with Topshop, in the 40 countries where the label has stores. The last collab between the supermod and the fast fashion retailer rolled out in 2010, so why the return to designing three years later? Supposedly when Moss was vacationing with Topshop CEO Sir Phillip Green in the south of France, she brought up the topic of renewing the collection and the retail maven agreed to the partnership.
“I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop,” Moss said in a statement. Besides delving back into sketching and designing for the collab’s second chapter, hopefully Moss’ second stab at the partnership will include posing, non? With help from creative director Kate Phelan and stylist Katy England, Moss will turn to her personal closet for inspiration. What else will stem from the work of the well-qualified team behind this collab? Pop-up stores featuring Moss’ designs, placed in department stores throughout the world.
