America’s sweetheart Kanye West is going big for New York Fashion Week next month. Page Six reports that the rapper has rented out Madison Square Garden for his upcoming February 11 show, with tickets going on sale for the general public on Friday. (His pal Riccardo Tisci allowed a few members of the public to attend the Givenchy anniversary show in New York last September for free.) A source told Sixers, “He’s not performing. It’s not a concert. He’ll premiere his new album, so it’s sort of like an album preview party and fashion preview [for his latest Yeezy line].” Cathy Horyn will probably be sitting this one out after she wrote in The Cut in September, “This second round of drab, broken-down basics proved he can’t be taken seriously as a designer.” West’s new album comes out the same day, teased by the always humble artist in a recent tweet: “So happy to be finished with the best album of all time.”
His sisters-in-law Kendall and Kylie Jenner will also be launching Kendall + Kylie on February 8 at 8 p.m. at a TBD location.
