Seeing as he splits his time between red carpet reporting and editing fashion pages in ELLE, Joe Zee is living the life! At Sunday’s Golden Globes he was front and center, decked out in a tux and chatting with all the ladies on our best dressed list. What exactly does his job description entail? Read on!
Tell us all about the red carpet!
It was great, I was reporting for Entertainment Tonight. It’s so much fun to be able to talk to all these women who spent all morning getting ready, and who worked so hard on their movies. It’s like a giant party.
Who was your favorite red carpet interview?
I have a special place in my heart for Julia Roberts. It was like a reunion for us, since I haven’t seen her in a while. I sort of crashed her interview, but I love her.
And after the red carpet was over?
I went home, I took my tuxedo off and filed some of my reporting. I did a pre-call with Good Morning America. Then I put my tuxedo back on to go to the after parties.
Which ones did you attend?
I went to the HBO and the Weinstein Netflix Party. I grabbed an In-N-Out burger on the way home.
That’s the way to do it!
I got home, and at 3 a.m,. I had to wake up to drive downtown to film Good Morning America. I only got one hour of sleep!
Did you spot any hungover stars the morning after?
No, I didn’t get to experience any walks of shame, but I can tell you that a lot of stars had a good time on Globes night.
Joe’s also debuting his QVC label, Styled by Joe Zee, on the red carpet at the Oscars. Tune in on February 28th to check it out.
