Hedi Slimane’s Long Awaited Celine Collection Is Finally Here

After weeks of teasing, and one illuminating interview, Hedi Slimane’s premiere work for the house of Celine finally hit the runway. Karl Lagerfeld was among those in the front row, eager to see what Slimane would do for his first collection in two years — and what he would do with a Celine menswear line (a first for the house). Fans will be thrilled to learn that he build upon the aesthetic he has been known for since his days at Dior Homme. Skinny ties and short skirts were the backbone of the collection, which had a distinctly ’80s vibe. Naturally, almost everything was black, although there were some pops of sparkle.
