Seems like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop team just keeps growing. In August, it closed its series B funding and this month it launched its first fashion line, Goop Label, which sold out in five days, according to the company. Today, it announced new members in its editorial, advertising, and beauty verticals. Nandita Khanna joins the team as editorial director, while Elise Loehnen is moving up the ranks to become head of content, where she’ll continue to lead editorial strategy and content initiatives. Khanna, whose background is digital content strategy, will focus on the weekly newsletter and social platforms. Most recently, she was the director of content and editorial at J.Crew, where she launched social media, and before that she had tenures at Town & Country, Departures, and Conde Nast Traveler.
Over the summer, Paltrow brought on Erin Cotter from Estée Lauder skincare to oversee the beauty sector, including its own line of products, Goop by Juice Beauty. Head of beauty Blair Lawson was bumped up to head merchant. The sales team also welcomed Allyson Schwartz, formerly from WIRED and InStyle, and Nancy Gutman, who came from from Harper’s Bazaar.
Goop tripled its revenue from 2014 to 2015, and from 1H2015 to 2H2016. Team Gwyneth has had a good year.
