Esquire Celebrates “Men and Style: Essays, Interviews and Considerations”

by Eddie Roche

The men at Esquire’s party to celebrate the book Men and Style: Essays, Interviews and Considerations took the style thing to heart at The Bar at Baccarat Hotel this week. Writer David Coggins (a contributor at the Hearst title) has written the definitive guide to how men dress and why. He sought advice from Esquire’s Jay Fielden, Michael Hainey, and Nick Sullivan, who were all in attendance to toast the new book, which covers topics such as bad beards, misguided colognes, and prom tuxedo fails.

Some of the dapperly dressed gents in attendance (and this crowd brought their A game) included Tyson Beckford, Eric Rutherford, Patrick Janelle, and Chad White (who were all dressed by Jeffrey Rüdes, one of the event partners) as well as G. Bruce Boyer, Adrian Dannatt, Duncan Hannah, Jay McInerney, designer Derrick Miller, Glenn O’Brien, Bruce Pask, Mr. Porter’s Dan Rookwood, Gay Talese, Michael WilliamsMalcolm Carfrae, and Nick Wooster.
