Despite the fact that we’re inching ever closer to the winter chill, why not daydream about spring for a moment or two? We got a jump start on mentally prepping our wardrobes for warmer temps at the recent Ann Taylor Spring/Summer preview, held in Times Square last week. The brand’s creative director, Lisa Axelson, culled inspiration for the crisp collection from a bygone era of the Hamptons, back when it was truly an artist’s enclave and a sleepy summer escape for the elite. So why not go back to those days of yonder with a chambray lace skirt? Or perhaps a seersucker pant will do the trick? There were also plenty of white frocks to lust over, alongside a slew of delicate gold baubles and one playful daisy print to adore.
