Cushnie et Ochs Fall/ Winter 2017

by The Daily Front Row

Va va va voom! Cushnie et Ochs has always been about body clinging silhouettes and to top it off there was plenty of cleavage this season, but what ultimately makes this label so sexy is that Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs have a way of making it all look sophisticated. Next year the duo will be celebrating their 10th anniversary and are already looking to expand with the introduction this season of a new handbag collection (with shoes reportedly to follow soon). This season’s color palette was inspired by the monochrome and earthy palettes of Robert Smithson’s earthworks and sculptures and the visual simplicity was offset by deep-v’s, a bare shoulder, a slash here or a slash there for a little bit of skin. Sleek, flowing strands styled by Moroccanoil only enhanced the effect. The bottom line is…if you have the body to rock these looks why wouldn’t you? For the rest of us, it gives us a new reason to want to take up Tracy Anderson.
