In celebration of its three fragrances for women—Bikini Questa Sera, Tornado Blonde, and Trouble in Heaven—Christian Louboutin created four imaginative window displays at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship. The first vignette, Cabinet of Curiosities, gives a look inside the designer’s studio, showing Christian beside his worktable and designs of his fragrance bottle—a collaboration with designer Thomas Heatherwick—silhouettes of his first Nail Colour bottle, and scenes from Loubiville, a Christian imagined. The second window, dedicated to Bikini Questa Sera, shows a room surrounded by ornamental Asian panels, mosaics, stained glass, and a nautical, rural landscape. The furnishings are combined from Christian’s homes in Melides and Luxor, his favorite summer destinations. The third, designed for Tornado Blonde, centers on the spirit of love and adventure, and looks like a regal French bedroom with a 17th-century bed, marble floor from Christian’s castle in the French countryside, and a bust of Marie Antoinette. The final display represents Trouble in Heaven, and is made up of details from theaters across Paris. They’re currently on display at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC.
