Christian Dior Invites 10 Artists to Reimagine Lady Dior Bag

By  |  0 Comments

Following up on last year’s success tapping into artists to put their stamp on the Lady Dior bag, Christian Dior has created a second artist series and this time has tapped 10 creatives to give Lady Dior a makeover. Lee Bul, John Giorno, Hong Hao, Friedrich Kunath, Namsa Leuba, Betty Mariani, Jamilla Okubo, Jack Pierson, Spencer Sweeney, and David Wiseman have reimagined the iconic accessory for the House of Dior. The artists had carte blanche to reimagine everything from the bag’s size, color, embellishments, handles, and stitching. The bags, which range in price from $5,700 to $9,700 will be available in limited-edition quantities of 50 to 150 and will be launched on November 30 with a cocktail party at the Dior boutique on 57th Street in New York City. They will officially be available for purchase in 29 Dior boutiques the following day on December 1.
