Ruh-roh. Peter Brant Jr. was arrested last night at JFK for allegedly creating a drunken ruckus and disturbance, Page Six reports today. According to sources, Brant Jr. was waiting to board a flight to West Palm Beach while acting “drunk and belligerent,” which allegedly led to an argument with a JetBlue employee. The 22-year-old son of Peter M. Brant and model Stephanie Seymour, who was memorably profiled by Nancy Jo Sales for Vanity Fair, is accused of assaulting a Port Authority cop and was taken to Jamaica Hospital to be treated for severe intoxication. He will also undergo a pysch evaluation.
The arrest makes Brant Jr. the newest member of JetBlue’s unofficial “Bad Boy Hall of Fame.” He joins former flight attendant Steven Slater, who famously exited his plane via the emergency shoot (with beer in hand) after telling passengers to “go f*** themselves,” and passenger Robert Vietze, who was arrested after allegedly urinating on a sleeping 11-year-old girl in 2011. Earlier this week, a JetBlue flight attendant was arrested at LAX after she dropped a bag loaded with $2 million worth of cocaine at a security checkpoint and sprinted out of the airport. Jet Blue: the tickets might be expensive, but the entertainment is free.
