Bella Hadid Slams Plastic Surgery Accusers

by Taylor Harris

Do not come for Bella.

Bella Hadid clapped back at an Instagram troll Monday who accused the model of having plastic surgery. The Insta-brawl was spotted by account @commentsbycelebs whose function is exactly what it sounds like — they track comments made by celebrities on Instagram. @commentsbycelebs potted the contentious exchange in the comments section of a picture posted by a Bella Hadid fan account. The fan account posted a side-by-side split-photo of Kendall Jenner and Hadid asking “Kenny or Bella?”

An Instagram user, @foufiasse, left a comment accusing both models of undergoing multiple plastic surgeries as well not having good personalities, writing: “2 fake bitches sitting in a tree, first comes the nose job, then come the lips, oh and don’t forget the built in cheeks lmao y’all trippin’ fam, money can get you a new face but not a nicer personality which these two girls need.”

Within minutes, Hadid replied: “I wish you would know either of our personalities. And not only that, I wish you would only grasp a heart of your own. Blessings to you sweetheart. Jealousy is a cry for help that I wish I could help you with.”

Cue hairflip.

Hadid has admitted in the past that she gets affected by social media bullies, telling Instyle last summer, “People will judge me for things I can’t change. Imagine that somebody is telling you that you’re a piece of shit every day on social media. You kind of feel like, ‘Well, am I a piece of shit?’ You don’t really know,” she said, going on to admit she sometimes wants to “go to the house of that random person from Twitter who is in Missouri and tell them, ‘I promise, I’m a nice person! We could be friends! It doesn’t have to be like this!’ But it’s a very strange world.”

Older sister Gigi also address social media trolls recently, sending out a series of Tweets announcing she’ll no longer comment on her appearance. “I will not further explain the way my body looks, just as anyone, with a body type that doesnt suit ur ‘beauty’ expectation, shouldnt have to. Not to judge others, but drugs are not my thing, stop putting me in that box just because u dont understand the way my body has matured,” she wrote of body shamers, adding: “Please, as social media users & human beings in general, learn to have more empathy for others and know that you never really know the whole story. Use your energy to lift those that you admire rather than be cruel to those u don’t.”
