Kuinton Elliott has never been afraid of an uphill battle or any battle at all. Some people are born with the odds stacked in their favor, and some are not, and Elliott is undoubtedly the latter of those two. Growing up in a mixed-race family, he would face adversaries trying to find himself and his identity. This search led to him becoming the first member of his extended family to graduate from college. He got a degree in Psychology from The University of Windsor in Ontario. Even before college, however, Elliott was fearless of doing something many people would not have the gall to do.
He made the audacious choice to join the Canadian Armed Forces at 16, setting out on a journey that would put his will to the test in ways he could never have predicted. He traversed a problematic terrain of duty, discipline, and sacrifice while juggling the responsibilities of military service with his educational goals and sports aspirations.
Elliott’s unwavering attitude carried him ahead despite the difficulties he encountered. He survived the trials of psychological warfare and the rigors of military training and emerged as a strong, disciplined soldier.
However, Elliott’s biggest obstacle came when he graduated from college and had to figure out where he fit in the civilian workforce. Even with his credentials, he could not find work, leading to indecision and introspection. During this turbulent period, he happened to stumble across the world of modeling, a coincidental event that would permanently alter his path in life.
Elliott’s remarkable appearance and captivating demeanor attracted the attention of industry insiders, resulting in what started as a lucky opportunity quickly developing into an established profession. He became well-known as a rising talent in the fashion industry very fast, appearing in high-profile magazines and walking the catwalks during Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Elliot’s voyage was not without difficulties, though. Fighting untreated PTSD and severe depression, he bravely and resolutely faced his demons. He came out of the depths of despair stronger and more resilient than ever before with the help of therapy, self-care, and unrelenting drive.
Elliot’s purpose now goes well beyond what’s possible on the runway. Through modeling, music, and other artistic pursuits, he aims to raise awareness of the often-ignored challenges associated with mental health. His path from ignorance to enlightenment is a potent lesson on the idea that no challenge is impossible and that we may encourage others to follow in our footsteps by accepting who we are.
Elliot sees a day where empathy and understanding are the norm, and he plans to achieve this by touring the globe and sharing his message of healing and optimism. Through his PR initiatives, he seeks to build a network of strength and resilience by amplifying his voice and reaching individuals who could find value in his experience.
