The Alexander Wang Adidas Collab Enters Season 2

by Kristen Heinzinger

They’re back! Alexander Wang and Adidas teamed up again for a unisex collab, which found inspiration from a combo of cycling and raves. This time around, the duo worked with director Ryan Staake for a campaign film starring a tribe of cyclists speeding around the city, disguised in the collection and delivering packages to apartments (it looks like a scene straight out of HBO’s “High Maintenance!”) In true Wang style, nothing about this launch is traditional: On July 29, posters that say “Text to Buy” with the number 917-512-7715, alongside product sheets, will be scattered around the city. You can only purchase product in NYC on July 29 beginning at 12 p.m. by texting the number with the product code on the posters. A bike messenger decked out in the collection will deliver your order, which comes in a package wrapped in reams of plastic tape. To find out where the posters and bike messengers will be on July 29, follow @alexanderwangNY and @adidasOriginals. The collection hits the rest of the world on August 5.
