Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton and photographer Jamie Hawkesworth traveled to the Shetland Islands for the romantic setting for the brand’s Fall 2016 ad campaign starring Mica Arganaraz. This was the first time Burton had worked with Hawkesworth on a campaign for Alexander McQueen. The black and white photos show the supermodel in a tiered, semi-sheer gown, a long white tuxedo jacket with hints of black under the lapel, and one of the most stunning pieces from this season’s collection—a beaded, mostly sheer cape gown. The backdrop? Abandoned ruins of the structure of an old house on the cliffs of the Scottish seaside. The campaign was styled by Camilla Nickerson and art directed by M/M Paris.
