Sally LaPointe Spring 2018

By  |  0 Comments

Wearable, sexy, and full of ease. Sally LaPointe delivered straight up elegant clothing this season in a light color palette with doses of metallic done with intricate hand embroideries. Lightweight cashmere sweaters and shawls were paired with cocktail skirts and jumpsuits in airy chiffons.

“Spring 2018 is about being direct and moving forward,” said LaPointe in her show notes. “There is a certain confidence and clarity you get from being direct. I took inspiration from straight lines, arrows, and chevrons. In the military, the chevron represents a certain ranking, and the more you have the higher the rank. I wanted the clothing this season to represent strength and confidence.”

To that point, the collection still had plenty of LaPointe’s edgy aesthetic in fringe skirts and leather corsets. But this collection will appeal to both uptown and downtown ladies.
