Ralph Rucci is returning to New York Fashion Week, for the debut of his new label RR31. The show is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at an unspecified location in Times Square; the coveted slot falls between Oscar de la Renta and Narciso Rodriguez. Rucci left his eponymous label in November 2014 and was one of the last American designers to show couture, in 2009.
Rucci’s designs were big hits with affluent icons, from socialite Deeda Blair to media titan Martha Stewart. What’s in store for his new collection remains to be seen, however, its name certainly has a youthful ring. According to WWD, the designer said RR31 will include apparel and shoes at a broader price point than his previous label.
