Monse Fall/Winter 2017

While Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia are still finding their footing at the helm of Oscar de la Renta, Monse proved to be steady on its feet. There were all of their classic hits, from the reworked dress shirt that landed them on the map to purposefully askew tailoring to varied iterations of their velvety concoctions in cobalt blue and cherry red—Fall 2016’s peachy pink version landed on Brie Larson at The Oscars. This season? Expect to see the silky shoulder slashed gowns and the Pat Steir-inspired drip sequin dresses on the red carpet. Meanwhile, the goat and astrakhan strappy fur coats will be on everyone’s wish list.
