Milk Makeup Is Planning to Expand

by Kristen Heinzinger

Milk Studio’s debut color cosmetics line, Milk Makeup, is gearing up for a big year ahead. Today, it announced it’s partnering with Main Post Partners, a private equity firm that invests in consumer brands, the first outside investment for the beauty company that’s owned by Milk Studios’ co-founders Mazdack Rassi, Erez Shternlicht, and Moishe Mana

“Milk has a passionate customer base and innovative, creative DNA that will resonate worldwide. We are excited to partner with Rassi and his team to support this next phase of the company’s growth,” said Josh McDowell, partner at Main Post, in a statement.

“Right now as a company we’re focused on listening to and growing our community, and that means we have to scale and market,” Rassi added. “Main Post will give us the capital and confidence to do just that – they’ll undoubtedly help us deliver a little piece of Milk culture to consumers everywhere as we expand across the world.”

Main Post Partners has a track record for partnering with the cool kids of consumer brands, like Too Face Cosmetics before it rolled out now favorites like Better Than Sex Mascara and the Chocolate Eyeshadow Palates, and before it was sold to Estee Lauder. What that growth turns into remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t be shocked if a few new things unrolled this NYFW.
