Marina Testino took to Andy Warhol’s former NYC studio last night to celebrate the launch of her line, Point Off View. The line merges the worlds of art and fashion via collaborative collections of ready-to-wear. In each collection, Testino will tap different artists who work with a range of mediums, visions, and scopes. We profiled the “Next Big Testino” during September’s NYFW, when Testino was in the process of getting ready to launch her line as well as planning her launch party. “It’s amazing to see it come to life,” Testino told The Daily, reflecting on the progress she’s made. “I didn’t think it was going to happen last night! The space almost cancelled on me, so I was like okay! [Laughs]. But I’m super excited and think it turned out even better than I ever thought.”
The first collection—titled EDITION 0—features three wardrobe staples, including a denim jacket in three washes, a military jacket in four color ways, and a button down shirt dress, all embellished with different sayings that emphasizes the freedom of expression. At the party, staffers went up to guests asking people what they were thinking about, wrote it on a sticker, and then placed it on the attendee. Guests could also browse the artwork of the artists who Testino collaborated with, ranging from paintings to sculptures and more.
Those who came out for Testino included her uncle, Mario Testino, Mary Frey, Mario Sorrenti, Pamela Love, and more.
