While Vogue Arabia editrix Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz is no longer at the helm—she was reportedly fired after overseeing just two issues—she’s still hitting up her stomping grounds. We spotted her at NYFW last week and asked her a few questions…
What are you working on these days?
Breathing! [Laughs]. I just got into the States. My daughter just moved into college at RISD.
Would you consider going back into editorial?
Anything you take away from your time as an EIC?
It’s not about what I take away, it’s about what I enjoy. I still enjoy the creative process—always have, always will.
Thoughts on NYFW this season?
A lot of people have been talking about it, but maybe it’ll give a chance for new blood. Just because some people aren’t showing in one place doesn’t mean we can’t discover. New York has always been such a great place to discover talent, so I have faith.
For the TV junkies out there…what are you watching on TV now?
Insecure. It’s a great show!
