Kendall Jenner Covers Harper’s Bazaar’s May Issue

by Sydney Sadick

Runway queen and social media star Kendall Jenner graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaars May issue, which celebrates the glossy’s 150th anniversary. Camilla Akrans lensed the covers (there are two: one for subscribers and one for non-subscribers), where the supermodel wears brands like La Perla and Armani Privé and accessories by Tiffany & Co. and Dior Haute Couture. The glossy is celebrating its mega milestone tomorrow night with a star-studded bash at the Rainbow Room in NYC, and Jenner is supposed to attend. She’s also reportedly helping Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey “hit the switch” to project iconic images from the magazine onto the Empire State Building, so keep an eye out, New Yorkers! Guests expected at the viewing party include Demi Moore as well as designers Alber ElbazRalph LaurenBrandon MaxwellCarolina Herrera, and Gabriela Hearst.

If you think you know just about everything about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, think again! Kendall opens up in the issue about topics like fears for her safety, her famous family, growing up a tomboy, her dating life, and more.

On her famous family—the Kardashians…
“I don’t think of it as ‘the Kardashians’ in quotes. I think of it as my family. It’s probably hard for anyone else to understand that, but it’s so normal for me.”

On being less of a girly-girl than her famous older sisters, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé…
“I’ve always been the different one. I mean, I’m a girl and I like being a girl, but I’ve just never been into it like they have. I think I get that from my dad. I’d say I’m more of a Jenner than a Kardashian.”

On her dating life…
“I’m not marrying anyone. I’m not engaged. There’s nothing long-term or serious like that in my life… I’m doing my thing. I’m having fun. I’m being young.”

On attempting to maintain some privacy in her life…
“More than the rest of my family, I guess. Just ‘cause I think it’s powerful. Plus, I think people always want what they can’t have. It’s nice to have some mystery.”
