After the successful opening of its first jewelry boutique in Paris, Christofle launched Idole de Christofle, the brand’s first gold and diamond jewelry collection, at an event last night. Kate Bosworth hosted the elegant soirée at the BG Restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman, along with co-hosts Bettina Prentice, Sofía Sanchez de Betak, Misha Nonoo, and Christofle CEO and president Olivier Fremont. Champagne and caviar were served, bien sûr, while an assemblage of models adorned in Brandon Maxwell’s collection showcased the jewelry. The statement ring, chain ring, bracelet, and necklace in white gold with pavé diamonds fuse modern design and timeless elegance, and range from $500 to $2,500.
Jason Wu, Rebecca Minkoff, Claudia Mason, Robert Verdi, Indré Rockefeller, Alex Assouline, Ariana Rockefeller, and Coco Rocha were just a few who braved the rainy weather to toast the collection. “The DNA for the whole company is about being simple and sophisticated,” Rocha told us. “Now [jewelry] is more of a personal thing, and I think it’s very beautifully put into their collection.”
“The pieces are so intrinsically Christofle, but at the same time really modern and fresh and new. It’s a really exciting moment for the house,” Nonoo said. “The Christofle woman is super elegant, the perfect hostess. She balances a hectic lifestyle with joie de vivre.” Convenu!
