Elizabeth and James have launched a new collection of digital timepieces inspired by watches from the early ’70s. The 10-piece collection, call the 200 Series, features a simple Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology in a mirrored mineral crystal face and stainless steel case with a pliable rubber strap. The time or date is illuminated with the press of a button, but when the time display is turned off the watch face serves as a discreet mirror.
“The 200 series applies our minmalist design values to the world of technology,” said co-founder Ashley Olsen. While her co-founder and twin sister Mary-Kate Olsen explained, “The 200 series captures our shared nostalgia for the watches from our youth but reimagined in a sleek design.” Although the twins were not born in the ’70s, it’s safe to say digital watches were probably still a thing during their Full House years. Time flies!
The sleek new watch is available in five metallic color ways including silver, gunmetal, sky, chartreuse, and royal and can come in either a black or white rubber wrist strap. Each watch retails for $200 and will be available on elizabethandjames.us and at the Elizabeth and James flagship at The Grove in Los Angeles.
