Bella Hadid Goes Behind the Camera to Photograph Chrome Hearts Duo

by Sydney Sadick

What can’t Bella Hadid do? The model just went behind the lens for Wmagazine.com to shoot a feature on her pals Jesse Jo and Laurie Lynn Stark, who helm L.A.-based brand Chrome Hearts. Founded by Jesse Jo’s father Richard Stark in the 1980s, the biz was passed down to his oldest daughter, Jesse Jo, and his wife, Laurie Lynn. The article brings to light how the brand has become a staple among Hollywood stars, many of whom are next generation L.A. staples and friends of Jesse, like Kaia GerberSofia RichieAtlanta de Cadenet Taylor and, of course, Hadid. Jesse Jo refers to her girl squad as “sisters.”

“I went through a phase where I didn’t want it to be cool because it’s my parents’ brand,” Jesse Jo said. “I wanted a Chanel bag, or something. But they’ve allowed me to interpret Chrome Hearts in my own way. And my friends all think it’s cool now, too.”
Cindy [Crawford] is one of my mom’s closest friends,” she added. “I view Kaia as my little sister. I grew up with Bella and Gigi. It’s all very natural.” Hadid has a nickname for Jesse too: “Sweet Thing.”  Click here to read the feature in full.
