Bon anniversaire, Cannes Film Festival! The weeklong affair that unites film, fashion, and diamonds turns 70 this year, and is officially in action after last night’s steamy opening gala. Hollywood’s biggest actors and some of New York’s hautest mods walked the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals and quickly turned up the heat in luxe, swoon-worthy ensembles. Supermod Bella Hadid was accompanied by her dad Mohammed Hadid, who posted a video to his Instagram showing the shutterbugs shouting for his youngest daughter, who stunned in a custom champagne Alexander Vauthier dress with Olgana Paris shoes and Bulgari jewelry. Champagne was definitely the color of the night, with Emily Ratajkowski and Lily-Rose Depp opting for the hue. Ratajkowski wore a custom-made Twinset dress and Bulgari jewelry, and Depp went glam in Chanel. Others who scored big-time on the outfit front? Elle Fanning in Vivienne Westwood Couture, Sara Sampaio in Zuhair Murad, Uma Thurman, who paired her dusty pink Atelier Versace gown with Bulgari baubles, and Jessica Chastain in an Alexander McQueen gown and Chopard jewelry.
