He’s been in the music biz for the past 16 years producing hip-hop, and now French Montana is making big waves! He just landed his first multi-platinum single “Unforgettable,” leading to a sweet gig of joining The Weeknd on tour as well as landing a deal as the face of CÎROC French Vanilla. We decided to shake thing up this week and ask the music vet to give us a taste of what he’s like behind the lyrics in the latest installment of “10 Things.”
- I don’t eat pork: It’s not my thing.
- I don’t really listen to rap: I love all genres, especially African music.
- When I’m home, I like a vibe set: Candles lit, fire place lit, whatever music I’m in the mood for plays around the house.
- I love seafood: Especially, king crab legs from Lobster House in City Island.
- Whatever I’m eating, I need extra amounts of sauce or I can’t eat it: Sounds crazy I know, but it’s what I like.
- CÎROC French Vanilla started as a conversation with Puff [Sean Combs] in Vegas during my residency: He invited me on his jet back to NYC and by the time he landed I had my own flavor. People don’t realize, Puff is like a brother to me so it’s amazing that I get to work with him now on this new venture.
- I appreciate a woman with curves: Don’t get me wrong, I love all women but there’s something about a confident woman with curves.
- Every day, I spray on three different colognes and it makes the most amazing scent: No, I cannot tell you which ones…that’s my swag.
- I’m a collector of vintage jewelry: To me, it’s about looking for a piece that will be impossible for anyone else to find!
- Humanitarian work is something I love to do: I partnered with Mama Hope this year after a trip to Uganda, and I plan to work with them to help promote education throughout Africa.
