Ever the artist, Zac Posen created an exceptionally sculptural collection for Spring. In his show notes, Posen touched upon wanting to create clothes with seams that “walked”, but in all actuality, these seams were dancing. To wit: the beautifully upwardly-curved neckline on a cardinal A-line mermaid gown or the carefully draped eyelet back on a pearlescent day dress. Other clothing intended for daylight jaunts? Impeccably flared pants, again in that cardinal hue, paired with a chicly coordinated off-the-shoulder top. Finishing off the show was a floating white gown, parfait for a celeb-studded wedding (any A-list takers?) in delicate wisps of lace. The looks were set to a mix of music that was half dark classical tunes and half Rolling Stones beats, the collection was certainly on point for Posen, who rarely strays from his tried-and-true DNA.
