(NEW YORK) The Jones Group isn’t exactly losing Stefanie Greenfield as chief creative officer, but she’s relinquished the tony title and will instead be consulting for the company. Greenfield scored the gig in November 2011. In the 17-month stint at The Jones Group, the Scoop founder worked in a slew of capacities, from design to marketing to creative services. As she segues into her new, more nebulous title as global creative consultant for The Jones Group, Greenfield sheds the managerial aspects of her CCO title, which had involved execs and creative teams reporting to her. Her consulting role will focus on a quintet of Jones Group brands: Rachel Roy, Brian Atwood, Nine West, Kurt Geiger, and only one (of many!) lines bearing the company’s name, JonesWorks.
Greenfield launched Scoop NYC in 1996, which has since expanded to 15 outposts of the boutique chainlet. A dozen years after rolling out Scoop (avec co-founder Uzi Ben-Abraham), Greenfield decamped from the company and proceeded to start her own consulting firm, My Next Act, in 2008. Three years later, Greenfield started Theodore & Callum, an accouterment collection with Full Picture’s Desiree Gruber. She’s also done an HSN line, Curations by Stefani Greenfield.
Expect Greenfield to be on the department store tour circuit, for JonesWorks, which she worked closely on creating during her CCO stint. Any guesses about the next Greenfield project (or three) in the pipeline, cheris?
