Last night, self-proclaimed Star Wars fan, Marcus Wainwright, welcomed Mark Hamill (aka Luke Skywalker) along with his on-screen sidekick, R2D2, and a crew of Stormtroopers to Rag & Bone’s Mercer Street flagship store. Elsa Hosk, Marina Testino and Charlotte Carey came out for the night and mingled with the iconic characters along with a slew of fellow fashionites while enjoying refreshments from Beam and Toki Suntory as DJ Kris Bones provided the musical ambiance. The fête was in celebration of the launch of the rag & bone X Star Wars collection. “Our approach was really to re-imagine some of our favorite rag & bone pieces while taking influence from some of our most memorable moments of past and present Star Wars films,” explains Wainwright. “We wanted the pieces to feel like something that referenced Star Wars but that also fitted the rag & bone aesthetic—like a modern Jedi.”
To create the two sides of the Force (light and dark), the line features limited edition t-shirts (think X-Wing fighter jet prints and classic quotes), slouchy sweaters and Obi-Wan~esque hoodies, and intergalactic booties for the ladies and sneakers for the men plus and array of metallic wristlets and card cases. Styles range from $95 to $1,295 and are currently available in store and online. With Star Wars: The Last Jedi dropping on Christmas, we doubt these items will last long. Add them to your chicest SW geeks’ wish list! If you want the full scoop check out the behind the scenes video.
